Language is part of communication problem. Others like culture, lifestyle, interest.... are also important factors. For example, I can not fit in a place where mostly are new graduates because of generation gap.

不错, 态度和运气都挺好的. communication skill需要挺长时间去培养提高. 另外, being aggressive其实不是太好的评语, 不卑不亢就好了.

You maybe better than you think --for eg, you found a valunteer opportunity through cold call. BTW, "到什么机构去提高口语" is a good idea, for example, toastmaster club, you are free making mistakes & learning from mistakes without jeopadizing career.

多看电视，报纸，书，多听广播，CBC Radio One最好，开车的路上听，有兴趣没听清楚的节目回头都可以在cbc.ca上面找到录音带和文字版本。高水平的记者和访谈嘉宾通常发言都比较精彩。在公司开会，注意看别人怎么做presentatiion，学习别人的说话和组织技巧。
