Agree. "Double blind" only applies to pills, which you can replace the real things with fake ones. However most TCM medicines are not in the form of pill.

Yes. That's my understanding too. If a therapy cannot be "blind", then we are not able to use this way to measure its effectiveness.

You may want to find out how "double blind" works. If the therapy is in the form of herbal tea, it can't be "blind". The patient knows this is different.

"Double blind" is the ideal method. 但如果不容易，可以用 普通Control group也可以一定程度的去除 placebo effect， 但是中医在这方面基本上也不会去做，很多中医认为老祖宗说有效那就肯定有效，现代科学方法不能说明什么问题。而且不少中医说中医已经有几千年历史，现代科学才短短的两百年内才快速发展，于是说现代科学方法是不行的！
