枫下茶话 / 法律 / 请教，搬出condo（不是公寓大楼），房东非说打扫得不干净，说要请清洁公司来做，然后charge我，如果我不付这笔钱会有什么后果吗？房东会起诉我吗？如果房东起诉我的话，我万一输了，需要赔什么钱吗？大概要多少？谢谢

landlord can charge you only if he sue and win in court/or house tribiual , he don't have power take deposit

Wrong! If it specifically says in the lease contract then landlord has the power to forfeit deposit, if not more.

There is no such a clause in my lease agreement. On the contrary, it says clearly that the landlord can not use last month's deposit as damage deposit. My landlord was asking me to pay after my lease term ends. Anyway, problem solved now. Thank you.
