枫下家园 / 理财投资税务 / 请教:NT的每股net asset我想知道NT的每股net asset,所以查了一下NT的2002季报。但是我对于会计知之甚少,不知是否如此算:
total shareholder's equity($3.99 B)/ common shares(3.2 B)=$1.24。
这个数据对吗?

From my point of view, technical analysis sometime looks like gambling because it always trys to predict future by historical data.

Not really. You need to exclude different kinds of preferred share and bonds that NT had previously issued.

What you want to do has already been done before caculation. preferred share and bonds are liabilities, which have been excluded

CGI looks good, but I am wondering why its price can't go up, always stays between C$8 to C$16

If owner lost money, it's owner's business. I don't see that owner is BCE is a disadvantage. I am confused by your opinion

If B owns A, and B keep losing money, do you think A's stock will shoot up sky high?

For example, if A earns money and B invest in A, B can earn money by this investment, even it losses money in its other investment. But no matter whether B losses money, A still earn money. Nothing for A is changed

But A is an subsidiary. So the relationship is not as simple as B invest in A. B has the power of changing A's management and everything!!!! B controls A!!!!

Yes, nothing in A is change. But the investors' mood is changed when the parent company is keep lossing money......

after CGI is listed, BCE should be the member of board of direct, a big share holder. If a share holder loss money, just like mutual fund loss money, it doesn't matter

What happen BCE is in financial trouble because they keep lossing money and they decided to flush CGI's stock for cash? Do you think investors care about this?

You just don't wanna give up, do you? Yahoo provided a very limited information.Look at here. It contains a detail listing of all BCE subsidiaries.

CGI is part of BCE's System Integration and E-Business initiative, along with BCE Emergis.

You can't separate child and parent companies in investing because the financial relationship between them is so complicated...

If CGI invests in BCE, things would be changed. CGI will loss money in BCE investment. Stock market concerns CGI's performance will be worse because of BCE lossing money. This can make some sense

Again, you have to know that A is a SUBSIDIARY. B has total control over A. So when people invest at A, they have to care about B's performance as well.
