809是多米尼加共和国，跟许多其它加勒比国家区号一样，虽然不在北美，但是使用同一区号1，长途电话拨打方式跟北美间通话一样，所以几十年来那里一直是长话吸费诈骗的天堂。如果您拿到一个每分钟收2千美元的号码，请转告我。重谢。本人不幸委身日人公司，报国无门，就算用日人电话，经援拉丁美洲兄弟吧。
另外你如果得到数千美元的话单，完全不必紧张，正经的运营商应该把这些电话诈骗多发国的区号屏蔽掉的。据理力争，不需恐慌。

they're not country codes dude. it's area code under North American Numbering Plan Administration (NANPA), even they are actually countries.
