photoshop是专业级别的图像处理软件，不容易学。建议找低端的容易上手的图像处理软件。例如ulead photo express, microsoft picture it. - 不知道picture it现在还有么。还有其它很多简单的。

I'm just wondering if it's better to learn by taking a course, on-line or by reading a book and trying every function by myself. I don't want to be professional but to make my not good pictures look better.

顺便说一下，建议从早期版本开始，比方Photoshop 6.0。功能简单一些，比较容易入手。后面的版本花里胡哨的东西太多了。
