GMAT for Business School, GRE for Graduate School. LSAT for Law School.When they apply graduate school or Medical school. Most universities require GRE(some of them even need GRE subject score), a few of them do require. If they apply Business School(For example MBA) the GMAT is required. It is not necessary to take both unless you want to apply B-School and Graduate school at same time.

Yes, of course, As huimin said, you need GRE or GMAT scores even you graduated from a US university.

I am confused that if someone has a degree from a university in Canada and wants to apply a Master program in a univerdity in Canada ( not in USA), does this person needs the scores for GRE, or GMAT?

The logic is: GRE or GMAT is required for almost everybody, no matter what country you got your degree from.

Oh, This time you ask for Canada university. GRE requirement of Canadian Universities is not as restricted as US.It depends on Universities and programs. some of them requires. some of them strong recommended. and some of them don't care. what do you think if most applicants have a GRE score and you don't when applying a hot program. Almost all Business Schools require GMAT test.
