both are tiny enough, so portability is a non-issue, at least to me. flash is better for anti-shock though.

not meant to be mean, but it's like asking : car, honda or toyota, which one is better for family use? no one can answer that question since it's too generic. you really have to narrow down the models first, then people can help you.

ok, ok, i'm thinking of buying a DV, and i prefer choose one from either Sony or Cannon. to me, i like sony, brand, but i like flash as cannon has. i'd like to buy one which is kinda new model and with good features which can be used for some years

Sorry that i don't know much about camcorder. My only experience is a tiny JVC camcorder whose PQ is nothing amazing. Maybe you can post your questions on www.dvxuser.com or www.dvinfo.net. People there are much more knowledgeable than I'm.
