you can get it any time, but i remember that they have an expire date.

It depends where you are.In Vancouver, you have a very specific time, i.e. 835am. if you can't make it, you will be automatically re-scheduled in 3 months; in T.O. you will get a letter advising you the card is ready for you to pick up within a certain period of time.
