今天,有个人送一封律师信上门,说另一个司机到ONTARIO SUPERIOR COURT OF JUSTICE告我们.要我们赔偿损失$900000.
1. ONTARIO SUPERIOR COURT OF JUSTICE 来信应该直接寄给我呢还是由对方律师发给我们?
2. 赔偿应该由保险公司付,对吗?

首先，如果你收到的是Statement of Claim，那就是法庭的正式起诉书。由专业人员直接送达到你手里，通常是原告律师雇的人。第二，赔偿是由你们的保险公司付，所以你要做的就是把这份文件交给你当年出事故时的保险公司。

第三，不用怕起诉书上的天文数字，那是在尽可能的范围内保护原告的最大赔偿额。既然你说当时双方都没有重伤，原告也不会拿到那么多钱。你应该与你的保险公司配合，讲出当时的真实情况。

It sounds fishy. Normally, policy holder duel with his own insurance company. And the insurance companies would do all the legal works within themselves. So that 2 parties that were involved in the acciednt never duel with each other directly. -hkchan(*); 2009-5-15 (#5267802@0)

Sorry that I didn't make my point clear. Why did he not contact his insurance compnay? Or he did try to go through his own insurance company but got refused?I was involved in a few car acciednts (some were mine some were the others), minor one. I always approached my own insurance company and my insurance company would handle all the legal works.
