It it is a rental water tank and it older that 15 yrs, call Direct Energy, they will replace it for free. I had replaced it last year. They sent an inspector on the same day when I called and sent two contrator to replace it the next day.

thanks for sharing! the tank was brought three years ago before we moved in. we don't have the receipt. i will try to call them anyway
