另外如果把地毯楼梯换成实木的，是先油漆再按装还是先按装再油漆？

I am also going to do this project, but I ask professional works. They told me it's hard to sand each baluster, and recommended buying new to paint and replace them. About $7 each for material.My stairs is hardwood, but the color not match the main floor. So also need to sand and paint.

Very appreciated. It's very helpful, especially the talking about the stain color. I'll ask the handy man give us more color sample to match up.
