thanks for the response. compare 85/1.8 with 100/2..8 MACRO USM, which one do you think is better?

it depens. 100 macro can do both portraits/macro, but 85 1.8 needs the extention tube while 100 macro 150g more in weight , and 50mm longer than 85. i dont do macro and care about the extra 150g so i choose 85 1.8.
