Agreed. I lived in both Toronto and Houston. Houston is the place to go.

Grocery prices at Houston Asian super markets such as HK City Mall are very inexpensive. Cheaper than those in Toronto. Houston is the paradise for Chinese who don't care the hot weather. High salary, no state income tax, extremely low living cost.

This is misleading. No sales tax on grocery in Texas including Houston.

Honda Civic LX $18000 is not cheap. You can get Accord for $1000 more. $151/month for insurance for one car is also expensive. I have a brand new Camry and 10 year old Camry, altogether is $140 a month.

Where did you get this price? How long have you been with State Farm? Other insurance companies ask for much more because of no insurance record in USA.

You must be living in a very small town. Here in San Francisco, I pay $6.9 for a lunch combo (rice with 2 items).

In US, Mortgate interest and property tax are tax deductible. In Canada it is none. Canada government grabs much more money from average citizens.Canada government is very succesful in creating propoganda to prove that they charge less
