I tried several brands before and now I like the one from Cosco called Simplicity Plus.Also I'm using a closed litter box not an open one. I don't feel any smell. By the way, you should change your litter more often and changed it throughly at least once every month.

Agree. I think the Simplicity Plus cat litter is the best, I clean the litter box everyday, change it once every month.
