oh, man, money is always an issue. :) Besides, I'm really afraid if I'm worth such an expensive toy. I don't have any experience for photography before and never owed a film camera.

in most cases, you just waste of money if you buy the cheap one; while you still lost money when you buy the better one, BUT at least you really get something.

I'm not with you. Money is an issue, but it's not the biggest issue. Camera is much more inexpensive than house or car, most of ppl can offer a very good one if they like.

The prices do have difference. I still believe camera is too difficult to get for most of ppl if they really like. If what you need is not under your budget, make it under your budget. That's what i'm trying...:)

Right. but for my case, I'm always very careful about my investment. Since I only wanna keep photography as one of my hobbies and never tend to be a professional so far,I don't think I'm gonna buy high end products.

no no no, i would like DSLR,10d was the cheapest one thatmet my requirement at that time. nowaday, i still vote 10d for DSLR. but 300d if pretty good if you just want to use only one lens.

300D是以性价比取胜的DSLR,性能几乎与10D相同，但building quility比高一点的机器还是差一点点（台湾造／日本造；塑料壳／金属壳等）；当再砸下一堆钱买镜头时，300D的优势就不明显了，上个大镜头在300D上看起来也不是那么协调。。一家之言。：－）

专业，佩服。谢谢各位了。这真是不比不知道，一比吓一跳。看来 A1 和 5400 都不能要。算了，还是买个 Canon A80 或 Sony P100 凑合玩玩吧 :-)SLR 是好，但一是俺不够专业，落在俺手里只怕浪费，二是更新太快，不想投资太大。

not true, once you get a DSLR and a small one, you won't buy other camera in a long time.but if you buy a cheap one, you will buy a better one each year untill you buy the best.
