5-7 is not enough. I am planning trip as well. Looks need 2 weeks for Montreal-Quebec->NB->NS->PEI. Of course it depneds on how many places you want to go. In travel guide book, too many.

渥太华，蒙特离尔和魁北克城去年都去过了，所以这次想直接去NB，PEI，NS。问了几家旅行社，都是和加东一路游的。我们是一家三口，2人会开车，如果租个VAN轮流开也可以。你们是如何计划的？

We already booked this kind of trip in end of June. For your reference, here's our plan:fly to moncton,NB, pick up the rental car here, and stay here two nights. Then drive to Charlottetown, PEI, stay here for 3 nights. Drive to Halifax and stay in Halifax for 2 nights, return the retal car in halifax and fly back.
In NB, we plan to visit Hopewell Rock and Fundy National Park. In PEI, we plan to visit Victoria by the sea, Cavendish and PEI national park(Anne's land), Greenwish National park and wood islands. In NS, we plan to visit Lunenburg, halifax and Dartmouth.

$185/week compact car, ulimitated mileage. $70 for returning the car in Halifax. The travel agent said it might be $400 if you rent a car in Vancouver and return it in Calgary.

Sorry it's not a group trip, just my small family. We planned the trip ourselves and ask the travel agent to book the air tickets, hotels and car rental for us.
