现在一般都铺roof wrap吧，和house wrap类似。有些地方底下3尺要求有Ice shield.

ice shield 在 roof edge, valley等地方必须要。在shingle 下成卷铺 roofing felt 是锦上添花，铺更好，不铺也不是问题。

You need to check the building codes of your home region. In Ontario, ice shield is required by the building code, roofing felt is not required.
