Canada Jetlines seems to be preparing for an expansion this winter with a bunch of new routes from Toronto.

Previously serving just Cancun, Montego Bay, and Orlando, they've added the following destinations to their lineup:

Fort Lauderdale, Florida - $308 roundtrip
Miami, Florida - $299 roundtrip
St. Pete's - Clearwater, Florida - $278 roundtrip

Tulum, Mexico - $378 roundtrip

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic - $458 roundtrip

Fort de France, Martinique - $598 roundtrip

Canada Jetlines introductory fares to St. Pete's, Florida and Tulum, Mexico are the two that stand out to me as being the strongest deals.

Toronto to St. Pete's, Florida (PIE) - One of the more rare nonstop flights to Florida, and usually more expensive.

Toronto to Tulum, Mexico (TQO) - Competing against WestJet and Air Canada into Mexico's new airport in Tulum, these flights are the first nonstop flights I've seen in the $300s roundtrip.

In some cases peak Christmas dates are currently available for the same low price. (Update @ 9:26 PM EST - The Christmas prices for Tulum have increased).

WestJet has dropped the price of their flights from Toronto to Las Vegas, Nevada down to $149 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

The flights are nonstop both ways.

Now, to be clear, the $149 roundtrip flights are WestJet's UltraBasic fares, which I wouldn't normally bother mentioning, as they do not include carry-on and are usually not a great deal.

However, in this case, you can add checked luggage for just $95 CAD roundtrip, bringing the total price up to $244 CAD roundtrip, which is still a pretty great deal, as long as you are alright with having *just* checked luggage (no carry-on). You can also bring a personal item (bag that fits under the seat in front of you).

When you get to the Bag Selection page, you can add the checked luggage for $47.50 each way, bringing the total price up to $244 CAD roundtrip.

United Airlines has dropped the price of a few flights in January and February 2025 from Toronto to San Juan, Puerto Rico down to $217 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

The flights have 1 stop in Newark each way.

WestJet, Air Canada, and Air Transat are all known to drop the price of their *nonstop* flights down into the mid or high $200s roundtrip at various times throughout the year.

Although currently their cheapest nonstop flights in January, February 2025 are $543 CAD roundtrip.

Air Canada has dropped the price of a few flights from Toronto to Willemstad, Curacao down to between $367 and $390 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

The flights are nonstop both ways.

Curacao is the 'C' in the ABC Islands of the Netherlands Antilles located in the deep south of the Caribbean outside of the hurricane belt.

COPA has dropped the price of their flights from Toronto to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil down to $613 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

The flights have 1 stop each way in Panama City, Panama.

At one point, Brazil was going to bring back their visa requirement for Canadians. But that has been delayed until at least April 2025.

COPA has dropped the price of their flights from Toronto to Montevideo, Uruguay down to $699 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

The flights have 1 stop in Panama each way.

Montevideo is usually one of the more expensive capital cities in South America to fly to, with prices that usually bottom out at about $1000 roundtrip.

These are also the fastest flights between Toronto and Montevideo.
