Air Canada is showing Business Class flights from Vancouver to Sydney, Australia for July travel for approximately 82,000 Aeroplan points and $99 CAD in taxes/fees each way.

Sydney, Australia to Vancouver is also available for a similar amount.

The flights are nonstop both ways.

From what I've seen multiple seats are available on most dates.

Why is this a great deal?

Well, you are essentially using $2500 worth of Aeroplan points + $199 in taxes/fees for a roundtrip flight in Business Class from Vancouver to Australia.

Paying cash for the same roundtrip business class flight with Air Canada would normally cost between $7700 and $10,000 roundtrip.

Anywhere else in Australia available?

It would also be worth trying Brisbane or Melbourne.

UPDATE 1: Lufthansa is now showing flights from Vancouver to Porto, Portugal for $658 CAD roundtrip. The flights have 1 stop each way in Frankfurt. Most dates are in late October and November. A few in Jan/Feb. You can also fly into Lisbon and then home from Porto for $603 roundtrip (details below).
