I was kindly suggested that to get professional help on pronunciation “won’t hurt”.
After these years, I manage to avoid the common mistakes such as that of “th”, but still have difficulties with others such as “r” and “l”. On the other side, I also like to improve the speaking of whole sentence, the rhythm, the tone. Can you kindly elaborate this topic a little further? Any recommendations on books or classes?
BTW, I didn’t find the materials from the library or some web sites very helpful. As you mentioned above, sensitive ears are important, which I unfortunately don’t have. Occasionally, I can tell that mine is sort of not right, but I cannot pinpoint what’s wrong. After reading on related subjects on line, I begin to be interested in a face-to-face training with a speech therapist or a Pathologist. However, I am hesitated because of the potentially high costs. What do you think?
