本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛With all CA 51 hour credits and CMA 17 prerequisit topics, University graduates can either apply to CA program after they received a job offering from a CA firm or write the CMA entrance exam upon graudation if their job offer is not from a CA firm.
For me, I am a College student, courses completed at College are not recognized by CMA and CA. I am also required to complete a degree. After studying for 3 years at Seneca College, I need to get into the workforce and accumulate some experiences and put food on the table for my family. In order to pursue the CMA or CA designations, I must transfer to a University after my gradution from College. It will require another more than 2 years to complete a University degree full time. If I graduated from university, I need to gather 2 or 3 years worth of qualified experiences to satisfy the work experience requirements for the 3 accounting bodies.
Having said that, as you can see that CGA option is the best for me. Not only I can work full time and study part time with the CGA, I can also complete a degree from one of CGA's learning partners.
I have friends who are in UofT, Waterloo, Western Ontario and York. Their goals are aiming for the CA designation or CMA if their job offers upon graduation are not in public acocunting firms. None of them expressed interest in becoming a CGA.
I've also asked my classmates at Seneca College, and most of them are transfering to an University to pursue the CA or CMA designation. In theory, it will take them another more than 2 years full time to complete a degree and another 2 or more years to become a CA or CMA or CGA.
I am sure most of the people on this forum are working professionals who are unable to study at an university full time. Therefore, the CGA option may be the best option for them.
At the end, it does not matter which accounting designation you are holding, it's the person who holds the designation matters.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
