本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛第一年上班，客户五花八门。From manufacturing , financial institutions, to NPO. Did a lot of travel as well. 总觉着招聘的时候应加一条 requirement：会开车，还要有车。 在GTA可能除外. 那会刚学会开车不久，也没GPS。老公不放心。每到一个新客户，去４０分钟以内的地方，老公都是头天晚上带我开一遍，怕我开丢了。对此要大大表扬一下老公。他在我整个的会计生涯中起着不可或缺的作用。从面试，到考试，到重大的决定该说到UFE考试了. 安省考CA分几步:
1. university degree.
2 51 credits.
3 hired by a recognized CA firm/organization.
If you meet all of above, congratulations, now you are qualified to take the exams. ( U of waterloo master program students can skip the first two exams)
1 CKE, 4 hours. 100? Or 150? multiple choice questions, cover financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, certain IT stuff. professional conduct, etc. Held twice a year, one in Jan one in May. If you fail the Jan one you can take again in May.
2. if you pass the CKE, you can go to summer school held in York university in July for 2 and a half weeks. It is a full time study period. By the end of the summer school, you need to write an 4-hour exam , 3 cases. 是不是所有的school都和考试分不开呢？
You can take the CICA hand book with you.
3. If you pass the Summer school, then next exam is waiting for you at the corner, it is called UFE. 考试历时３天，第一天５个小时，第二，三天各４个小时。每天都是case. 第一天比较过分，一道题。我考那年，光 case factor 就１５页纸。 读题就得２０分钟.因为我那会儿答题还是手写，要在纸上编号，否则会串，不知道哪页挨哪页，所以我记得第一天我的答案有５８页. Of course, double spaced. 怕判卷的眼花.
