本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛The FALL COLOUR PROGRESSION REPORT is posted weekly on www.ontariotravel.net
You can call 1-800-ONTARIO for updated reports each Monday and Thursday during the
beautiful fall colour season in the province of Ontario.
This is the report for Thursday September 12, 2002
Northern Ontario
There is very little colour change, less than 5%, across the Northwestern region of Ontario at this time
from Thunder Bay across the north shore of Lake Superior to Sault Ste. Marie. The colour is just
starting in the low lying areas. Keep in mind the Agawa Canyon Tour train adventure will be a great
way to enjoy the beautiful fall colour, north of the Sault Ste. Marie region. It is best to call ahead and
make a reservation for this outstanding tour.
In the Northeastern region we have a 15% colour change at this time in the Kirkland Lake area with
some splashes of yellow and orange at this time. There is just a hint of colour, about a 5% change, in
the Temagami region north of North Bay. There are some early signs of fall colour in the Algonquin
Park area where there is just a 10% colour change, some red, yellow and orange.
In a short period of time, the lookout to the south from the Algonquin Park visitor centre will be an
ideal viewing location. In the Minden, Haliburton region just a 5% change, some yellow starting but
still a week or two from significant colour in the region. The fire tower lookout in Dorset, on Highway
35, will be an outstanding fall colour location.
The balance of the province including the Ottawa region, Eastern Ontario region, Central Ontario
region, Niagara Falls area, Southwestern Region and the Great Toronto area have no significant
colour change as yet.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
