1. The Good Food Festival
Bring your taste buds and an empty stomach down to the ninth annual Good Food Festival and Market because there are hundreds of mouth-watering food samples waiting for you to sink your teeth into. From ethnic to gourmet, natural to vegetarian, soups to sweets and everything in between-if it's got anything to do with eating, it's here. Thousands of new products and trends plus meal and recipe ideas are featured through more than 150 free cooking lessons and talks on five non-stop stages. TV chefs Ken Kostick and Rose Reisman and writer Elizabeth Baird are among those participating.

2. Barbados On The Water
The Caribbean comes to the shores of Lake Ontario this weekend when Harbourfront celebrates the costumes, customs, foods, music and entertainment of that tropical island jewel. Enjoy steel pan and tuk bands and strolling seranaders Andy Earl and Smokey Burke; Everything Irie Jazz Ensemble with guest saxophonist Andre Woodvine (Sat. 7pm & Sun. 2pm); and Barbados By Night show with Dance Nationale Afrique and 4D People (Fri 8pm, Sat 8:30pm, $15 at 416-973-4000). Runs Fri evening to Sun afternnon, Harbourfront, 235 Queen Quay W. Info: 416-973-3000
3. Toronto Musical Collectives
Show & Sale offers, 1000s of records and CDs and more, Sun 10am - 3pm, Rinx, 65 Orfus Rd. $4, Info: 1-800-255-4416.
4. Take a Hike
With Richmond Hill Natutalists on the Bruce Trai: bring a lunch, meet at Richmond Hill GO station Sat. 8am. Info: 416-701-1515
5. Studios OF Disctinction
Art tour opens the doors to studios rarely seen by the public; those of artists Dianne Sutter, Joseph Panacci and others. Proceeds to Peel Children's Aid program to send children in care to summer camp. Sun in brampton and Mississauga, various locations ($20), call 905-796-2121 ext 231 for info.
6. Children's Own Museum
Throughout May, the theme is 'Welcome to my neighbourhood", learn about yourself and different cultures, and the folks who work in your neck of the woods. ($4.75; PWYC Fri. aft.) 90 Queen's Park. Info:416-542-1492.
