I know what you mean of the camera's PS, What I mean the PS is the "Afterward 后期" PS.
You have indicated that the camera’s PS. My opinion is it is not a PS. it is the parameter that is designed for the all mechanical part of the camera, such as shutter, aperture, which are depends of the camera man's photo taken experience of setting the proper Speed and Light for the best result. So the original picture done with out PS is the best one to tell, the cameraman’s skill and experience, this is my opinion, PS is just a software manipulating the Bits and Bytes of the in the 1 and 0 format. It is not a photo taking skill.

I do not think it is PS. if it was done from camera default setting, it is the parameter that is designed for the all mechanical part of the camera, such as shutter, aperture, which are depends of the camera man's photo taken experience of setting the proper Speed and Light for the best result. So the original picture done with out PS is the best one to tell, the cameraman’s skill and experience, this is my opinion, PS is just a software manipulating the Bits and Bytes of the 1 and 0 format in the computer file. It is not a photo taking skill.

I am a new camera learner. I have a Canon AE1 SLR back in the 70's (Not DSLR). In those day cameraman must have cretin skill to make good picture, I may be out dated. That is why I need to understand why Digital photo need PS

简单说，就是只要是数码照片，就没有那种没有PS过的照片。如果是相机直接出JPG片，那照片已经被各厂家的软件PS了，如对比度，锐度，饱和度等等。也就是说，在同样光照等条件下，面对同样一个物体， -owen_2002(欧文); 2009-11-29 {301} (#5715087@0)
即使你使用同样的光圈、速度、ISO等，不同厂家的相机拍出来的数码照片绝对不一样，也就是说被不同厂家的软件PS了，所以效果不一样。如果你用RAW格式拍（几乎所有摄影师用的格式），你必须要在电脑上PS才能出片。所以你找不到没有PS过的照片:))

当然，我个人也反对那种“移花接木”式的PS。我把这种东东叫图片，不叫照片。

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛其一、技术的进步，确实使得人类的某些技能减弱，如车的发明，使得人们跑得不如原来快和长了等等。但人们对艺术的感觉确是和技术没有关系。如果你常一个摄影论坛你就会发现，拍的好还就是那么几个，即使很多人用的很好的相机，PS软件也一样。PS也好，高级相机也好，其实都是摄影的工具，而真正拍照的是相机后面的头（不是相机前面的镜头）。在chinasmile看过一个帖子，某爱好者，模仿一位高手在落基山里同样的地方想拍出高手一样的照片，可是失败了。他也可以PS啊，可是PS不是万能。工具永远只是工具，就如同我就是用达芬奇的笔，当绝对画不出蒙娜丽莎。

其二，也是由于技术的局限，所以目前的任何高级相机都不能完全真实反映我们美妙眼睛看到的美景。更不要说一般爱好者的普通相机了。所以一般的PS在与增加一点对比，饱和，锐化等，使之更能接近自然，其实也就是你说的在相机的参数调整，只是在后期时，我们的参数更多，调整的余地更大而已。而原理却是一样的。都是PS---通过软件修改照片，只是一个在相机里，一个在计算机里；一个调整少，后期调整多而已。

其三，PS也是一门技术，同样需要聪明和学习才能掌握。现在的问题不是人们PS太多了，而是太少了。从我个人而言，我是迫切需要学习PS的方法。

here is the pictures which was taken with my Canon Xsi. i brought the camera 2 day before I went on a Alaska cruise trip. all are orginal without PS ( I mean Photo Shop software touch up).Please add your comment. The DSLR is new to me, and I am not a good photographer who can construct a good image arrangement. Thank you.....

Minor burning, dodging and/or color correction is acceptable. Hand tinting is acceptable, as is cropping. Fish-eye lenses are acceptable. High dynamic range images (HDR) and stitched panoramas are acceptable only if the combined parts are all made around the same time.

实际上这也是目前很多知名风光摄影师对外宣称的自己的后期处理手段，也就是被大家广为接受的。当然到了Rolia这个地方就例外，这里的有些人站在世界之巅，水平之高以至于别人不敢过来贴片了。
