Program Description
This program is designed to provide newcomers with an
orientation, enhanced language training and an understanding of working in the Health Care sector- the medical technology profession in Ontario.
Program Highlights
• Develop sector specific Communication skills and practice them in Canadian Health care facility.
• Learn essential Knowledge about workplace culture, norms and standards for the Health care sector in Toronto.
• Meet and network with locally employed Health care workers in Toronto.
• Get hands-on experience in Health care centre.
• Gain Canadian Work Experience for your resume.
• Provide professional information and advice to prepare for future licensure on Health care sector.
Eligibility
• You must be a landed immigrant, conventional refugee or individual on a Minister's Permit.
• An interest to pursue a future career in the Health care sector
• Intermediate English Skills
• NOTE: Live-in Caregivers are not eligible
Time and Location:
Every Saturday & Sunday, 9:30AM-4:30PM, (Kennedy & Eglinton)
NOTE
• Transportation subsidy and Child minding support are available during the training sessions (first come first serve)
• First Aid/CPR and WHMIS trainings are provided free of charge.
