本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛1. Mileage of going through nia falls is shorter compare to kingston. However, traffic is also worse at this side, especially QEW part. Plus, you pay less money on toll way if you go kingston. (95% of I-90 you will drive is toll way). So it's your call which way you should go.
2. If you don't play to drive crazy (avg 80MPH.:P), 10 hours is a reasonable time, including lunch time, etc.
3. If i didn't recall it wrong, I-90 is 65MPH (105km/h). For local road, check the road sign. In the states, according to my past experience, if you don't speed over 10MPH (75 on a 65 limit road), you are rather safe from speeding ticket. But I-90 has lots of state troopers, be careful.
4. Get some US cash (like 100USD) before you go. Coz' u need to pay a lot of toll way, toll bridge, which only take cash. Take some water w/ u. Be prepared if you plan to take some food, coz' US custom checks food very carefully.
5. Important note: I-90 is toll way. Do NOT get off for food, rest room, etc. There is rest area on I-90, which has gas station, fast food, rest room. Plan your stop wisely, coz there may be 60 miles between 2 rest areas, you sure don't want to get into any trouble if you need gas, or even want to go to rest room so badly..:P
