本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛The definition of Hell is a place without God. Hell can be in your heart, just like Heaven can be in your heart.
The ruler of Hell is Satan. If he was defeated by the all mighty God, would Hell still exist?
If only believers could go to Heaven, then Jesus' death was in vain. Because Satan took away more of God's creatures than God could, God became the loser...
If the sun was created to shine on the good and the bad, then the bad should not be burning in hell eternally...
Jesus loves us.. He is love. He even died for sinners. He prayed and begged forgiveness for those who crucified him... just imagine the kind of love.... If he is love, who is so forgiving, will he enjoy seeing people burning eternally in hell? No.. this is against the nature of God.
The Bible said that no one can come to God except through the Holy Spirit, which is God, then it is not our own striving, struggle, that can get us to Him... He will eventually draw us to him. If in the end, we, or many of us refuse to listen to him, that means he fails to do what he wants to do... But the Bible says that nothing is impossible for God....
Below you will read some supports from the Bible itself.
Hell, Questions and Answers
Understanding that God is not going to throw people into a literal hell is wonderfully glorious and God-honoring, and the traditional belief is so hopeless, sad and futile and God-dishonoring.
The traditional way depends upon our choice for or against God, and therefore we deserve what we get. Yet 2 Cor. 4:4 and many other verses say we cannot see the light of the gospel. "In whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." Then there are so many verses that say God chose us. The traditional belief depends in part on Christ's atonement and in part on our choosing. Therefore it is based on our efforts, and we can be proud of our good choice and somehow deserve "heaven."
I have a whole list of verses saying we cannot come to Him unless He draws us:
John 6:65; "For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father."
John 8:43 "Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word."
John 14:16,17 "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever. That is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you."
Rom.8:6-8, "For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God."
Therefore it depends on God - His will and His strength to accomplish it.
Does He have the will to save everyone?
Acts 15:17 "`So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by My Name'" says the Lord, who makes these things known from long ago." Remnant of men may seek the Lord.
1 Tim.4:10 He is the Savior of all men. Let's take a shipwreck as an example. If someone came to save the people, he could not say he was the savior OF ALL on board if some drowned.. If you offered help and they didn't take accept it, he would be the savior FOR ALL, but not of ALL. ) "For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers."
Rom.11:32 mercy on all. " For God has shut up all in disobedience so that He may show mercy to all."
Rom.16:25-26 "Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past, but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith." All nations might believe.
1 Cor. 15:22 "For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive." All shall be made alive.
Phil.2:10 "So that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth." Every knee shall bow to the glory of God. God looks at the heart. An outward expression that does not come from the heart is an abomination to the Lord.
Isaiah 66:23 "And it shall be from new moon to new moon and from sabbath to sabbath, all mankind will come to bow down before Me,", says the Lord." All nations will come and bow down before the Lord.
1 Tim 2:3-4 wants all men to be saved "This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth."
Can God accomplish His will or is the will of man too strong? Throughout the Bible we see examples of God accomplishing His purposes despite man's will and choices.
Let's answer the following questions carefully and truthfully. Is it glorifying to God to believe He will torture His own creation forever? What does it mean "His mercy endureth forever?" What kind of people delight in the thought of the torturing of the unsaved to validate their work? Do they have the love of the Father in them? What is the purpose of the parables that speak of finding that one lost sheep, and that one lost coin?
1 Peter 3:17-20 "For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong. For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison, who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water." Why did Christ preach to the unsaved in 'prison' from the time of the flood, if there was no chance to repent after physical death?
Do Christians think so little of God that they think no one would come to Him based on how wonderful He is? They think the only way people will come to Him is if He threatens torture? Yet, He says His love draws us. Maybe Christians don't have a clue about His love. We wouldn't think much of a father who threatened to burn a child who didn't say he loved him.
Would God do something that He forbids us to do?
Leviticus 16:21 " You shall not give any of your offspring to offer them to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God; I am the LORD."
Lev, 20;2-4 "Any man from the sons of Israel or from the aliens sojourning in Israel who gives any of his offspring to Molech, shall surely be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones. I will also set My face against that man and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given some of his offspring to Molech, so as to defile My sanctuary and to profane My holy name. If the people of the land, however, should ever disregard that man when he gives any of his offspring to Molech, so as not to put him to death, then I Myself will set My face against that man and against his family, and I will cut off from among their people both him and all those who play the harlot after him, by playing the harlot after Molech."
In offering a child to Molech, the child was placed in the arms of this image. A fire was started underneath the arms, so that the child would burn to death. God was against this practice! Would God then, turn around and carry on this practice Himself, only in a more horrible way? In an everlasting torment? That is entirely against the nature of God!更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
