My builder is Mattamy

Mattamy has a very resonable price than any other builders. But Mattamy sold out detached house about 2 months ago, now they only have townhomes available in that area. In the near future thet don't have any plan to release any detached houses. If you want to buy townhome, it is not bad. I am not sure the price of townhome. You have to check it by yourself. Ballentry doesn't have any houses for sale. The sales office is closed for that area. The price of Mattamy normally is lower at least $20000 than other builders but the standard feature is also lower than others, but you can upgrade what you really needs. The Ballentry is the second choice. There are several other builders which sale offices in that area. Their price is unbelievable high. 2 builders released new phase in that area last month. The price is too high. But on the first opening day peoples lined up and rushed to purchase. It strongly shows, Oakville is a really rich people area.

              • 只要能贷到款就行。既然你在家上班,LD稍微打打工就解决了。买房都是超前消费,否则刚住进去就后悔了。独立试二十几万的也有啊。还可以考虑burlington Appleby, Burlock一带的房子,还有milton。

      • 那边我没去过, 我买的是独立屋, 在8th line /upper middle 新区应该有升值空间, townhouse我没研究过。不过前几年得忍受一下新区光突突 的环境, 我是不喜欢。

          • 个人认为,OAKVILLE吸引人的地方在于
            安静,成熟漂亮的社区环境和NICE的NEIBOUGH,如果买新房,这些优点无从体现.RESALE HOME并不象想象的那么贵,除去OLD OAKVILLE和CENTRE OAKVILLE是绝对的MILLIONNAIRE区.GLAN ABBY的房子普遍较大(社区风格有点象RICHMON HILL $450K以上的区)故价格偏高,,其他区的房子并不是很贵.2000FT左右的,好象和TORONTO差不多.没做过数据统计,凭日常看报纸广告的感觉.
            一家之言,供参考.

      没有中国超市倒不重要,可以去Mississauga或Toronto,反正也不是天天去。喜欢安静的生活。将来太太想工作,可以Mississauga/Toronto/Brampton/Burlington/Kingston找工作,反正都不太远。看来不错。

    • I live in Oakville for 4 years. That is the situation of Oakville house price.
      2-3 years ago the house price of the area near Dundas& Bronte is cheap but the price went up very fast in the past 3 yeas, the fastest area in Oakville, now the price is pretty high. New area pass Bronte near Dundas is a very hot area in Oakville. Because it is beside Bronte Provincial park. The new home price is higher than new homes in lakeshore rd. area. The detached home is around half a million to $700000. In the near future one buider will release homes start from $700000. So I don't think those houses are cheap and 有升值潜力.
    • I bought a new house in Bronte/Dundas area 3 years ago. My backyard neighbour bought a 56' lot house at $320000 a little bit later than me and he sold his house over half million 3 months ago.

            We are a couple and our baby is coming soon next year. Townhomes seem better for us first buyer and small family. Will bring a check going the sales office. Thanks a lot.

    • 今天在oakville呆了大半天,特别是Mattany, 发现几乎所有的detached都卖光了,townhomes买了90%以上,真是很失望。只好等下周五看有没有new lease了。
      顺便去了一下mississauga, 在winston churchil 附近也有很多新房子。不知oakville的bronte好,还是mississauga的winston churchil好?真是不知如何挑选。有经验的朋友请指教。

        Mattamy has the largest community in Milton. I don't know the townhome price. As I know, the 46' Lot and 50'lot detached is much cheaper than Oakville, about $100K cheaper than Oakville. It is only about 12 mintues drive from Oakville.
