Electricity baseboard: expensive than gas, no central air conditioning can be installed on; but clean, no noisy, more flexible to adjust temperature need in different room. (if you no need, turn it off in certain room), low maintenance fee, most of the time it's easy to be fixed by yourself. replace one electric baseboard doesn't cost you much money, ($100 or so),one broken doesn't affect whole house.

If you compare them in a longer time period, say 10,20 years, not a big difference. Unless your furnace is so good and never need to be repaired.
