本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛It seems we have so many options to kill our time now: casino, beach, BBS…Yet the bookstore always has its glamour to us. Whenever we have time the bookstore is always the right place for us to go.
There are two bookstores near where I live, one is Chapter and the other is Indigo. I use to patronizing Indigo, for it is the first bookstore I know after I come here. Seldom will I buy books there, totally I have only bought three books. Usually I just enjoy my time there for free reading.
Browsing through all the books, I will choose one whose jacket design appeals to my eyes. Then I will find a seat to begin my reading. My reading speed is slow, I can’t even finish one hundred pages for a day, but I never mind. Still I like to run my fingers through the pages.
There is another attraction for me to stay in the bookstore: coffee. The smoky aroma of the coffee seems to have great glamour to me. Sitting there I like to discern its smell: the light roasted, the dark roasted, cappuccino… With the music and the flavor of the coffee, reading is really a luxury.
“Give me French wine, and a little books, fruit, fine weather, music…” printed on Indigo’s shopping bag this was said by John Keats about two hundred years ago, and today it still impresses on me.
With the book in my hand, I am quite in it and am lost in the time. What a peace to be so lost!更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
