I'd suggest that you focus on Seattle/Vancouver only. Save Alaska for another trip. A great experience there shall take more than 9 days.

Also depends on your preference. Nature, city, activities, or more? The cost of flight tickets is actually low, comparing to car rental. The climate of the two regions are very different, so you will have to bring clothes/gear for both.
