Dear Jeff:
I bought a canon A70 with Lexar 256MB 4X card. And I got an Optex card
reader for free.
4X card is 40 Canadian Dollars cheaper than the 12X one. Somebody told me 4X is just slower than 12X when transfer photos to PC. Nothing more concerns. Also somebody told me that the photo shot with 4X card is worse in color effect than the photo shot with 12X. Besides, 4X does not do a good job in movie mode. The store told me I could not change it if once I opened the package. I do not mind speed, but I want the camera work well. So I have to make sure it is ok to buy a 4X for saving 40 dollars.
Thanks in advance!
Andy
High speed cards don't do anything in regular digital cameras. They only
matter on D-SLRs like the EOS-10D and the like. Save your money and buy the cheaper ones.
