This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. is home to more than 20 rock monasteries, either perched precariously on top of Meteora’s
towering sandstone cliffs or built into the cliffs themselves inside naturally formed caves.
Impressive scenery, priceless historical and religious treasures suspended between
earth and sky. In your way back to Athens you will have the opportunity to stop in the coastal
town of Thermopylae, near Lamia and learn about Thermopylae’s historical battle between the
Greek Spartans and Persians. Arrival in Athens early in the evening.
The monasteries have strict dress code so to enter the monasteries of Meteora you have to
adhere to the following rules:
Women will need to wear a long skirt, dress or sarong, it's not enough to keep the knees
covered, so no trousers or shorts.
Men must wear long pants.
Sleeveless shirts are not allowed.
Please make sure to have appropriate clothing before visiting the monasteries.
Leave by the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea, (short stop). Drive to Mycenae, the Homeric city of Atreides, the city "rich in gold" of the ancient poets. Visit the Lion's Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, and the Royal Tombs e.t.c. Depart for Nauplion through the fertile plain of Argolis, the picturesque town nestling at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress (short photo stop), leave for Epidauros, to visit the Theatre (4th century B.C.) famous for its astonishing acoustics. Return to Athens by the National road connecting Epidauros with Corinth. Lunch in Mycenae.

first stop is Demeter ‘s temple, a spectacular recently restored ancient temple of 530 BC.
Apart from the impressive monument, you will have the chance to visit the archeological
museum located in the same area, giving you the chance to see findings from the site.
We continue towards Damalas, a cute little village in the heart of Tragea valley, where we will
enjoy a demonstration at the only remaining traditional pottery workshop and the traditional
restored olive press.
We drive towards Chalki, the neoclassical village where you can walk in picturesque alleys, visit
the traditional citron distillery/museum and have an espresso enjoying the classy atmosphere.
Following stop is Panagia Drossiani, the oldest church in Balkan peninsula estimated from 4th
century AD.
Our next stop is the most famous village of Naxos, Apiranthos, the “marble village” where you
can stroll on the marble cobbled streets and take loads of photos.
We drive towards the North part of Naxos island and we end up on the Northest edge of Naxos,
at Apollonas village, a small typical Cycladic village, ideal for swimming or just relaxing at the
various cafes by the sea.
On our way back we stop at the impressive Kouros statue, a colossal unfinished statue of the
6th century BC and then we head back to Chora, following the North-Northwest coast of the
island, enjoying view of Agia tower and North Cyclades islands.
