2. Shop around to get a better price. It is not supprising to get a deal that is $400 dollars cheaper than what you can get at Henry's or Futureshop. Smuggle it from US by all means.
3. There is no best DSLR, only better ones. Also because their prices are going down as the clock ticks, there is never a "THE BEST TIME" to buy one. So grab one when you feel like it and start enjoying digital and free images.
4. Since you have a couple of Nikon lenses, it make sense to use them on your DSLR. Nikon D100 (low end) or Fuji S2 (higher end) could be good choices for you why still can barely fit to your budget. S2 body is kind of old, but its CCD boasts a stunning 12M pixel, the highest on the consumer market. I would go for it if I am a Nikon fan and I have that kind of money.
