Egyptian civilization and culture date to a little before 3000 BCE (you can trace it back even further, but this is when writing developed in Egypt) although there were changes to Egyptian culture when it was conquered by the Greeks, Romans, and Muslims, respectively. Egyptian civilization was actually preceded by the Sumerians, who developed writing in about 3400 BCE.
The first Chinese dynasty that archaeologists are sure existed is the Shang Dynasty, which started around 1600 BCE. Chinese writing can be traced back to the late Shang Period in 1200 BCE.
