If used gear is accpetable for you, then you can get highest performance combination: All Used: 28~70/f2.8L US750 + 70~200/f2.8L: US900 + EOS Elan II US200 =1850. Be prepared, these L lens are every heavy. Whey weigh over 2 lbs each.

If you perfer to lighter one, you can save $400 to buy a new 70-200/f4.0L instead of a used f2.8L. Same image quality just a little slower. Then you can spend the money on a decent flash, EX420 ($160) or EX550 ($300). The Elan II body can let u enjoy the high sync upto 1/4000s.

If the performance can be sacrificed a little, pick up a EF24~85 instead of the 28~70/f2.8L for US250, which is a very good walk around lens even you already have L lens, it's lighter, wider. Used Elan II + new 70-200/f4.0L + new EF 24-85 + new EX420 = US1110. This will make more sense specially you don't want to risk youself for used equipment.

A money saving option will be A used Elan II + new EF28~135 IS (US420) + new EX420 = 780. The EF28~135 IS is a very good option if you only want to buy one lens. It covers larger range, good optical, not bright enough but it got a IS which will help a lot in low light.更多精彩文章及讨论，请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net

    • Used body from ebay. Lens from B&H, Delta International, Adoroma. Have them send to your friend so you can pick up. Be prepared 15% tax when passing customs. Otherwise, they call it "Smuggle" -xbox(Game Never Over); 2003-7-25 (#1303836@0)
