"but we deliver from the depot of missisauga so wherever you live, we ask for the same money", he explained to me. then I had no choice, I confirmed the time of the delivery with him. after checking out, I left.
back home, I picked up one newspaper and began my reading. suddenly the phone rang I lifted it and that was the man in the mattress city. he asked me whether I would be home one hour later, since he would pass nearby and if I would be home that time, he would deliver mattress for me. 'that is ok', I answered. then one hour later I opened the door for the man and welcomed my new mantress.
I was preparing to say good bye to that man, but to my surprise, he took out a 20$ bill from his pocket and handed it to me. he explained, 'I deliver this mattress from the store so I won't charge you 20$ of the delivery fee, but 5$ is required for....' I must be very silly at that time, I held that bill and only knew to say 'thank you' to him. I showed him the way out, then I was wondering: would I know did he deliver from the store or missisauga if he kept silent? even he told me where he delivered but he could still keep the 20$ bill himself for he indeed delivered the mattess to my door. but the fact is he told me all and gave me back 20$.
