惊报:油价49.9 cent, 从今天4:00到May 4. Esso!!!

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛TORONTO, May 2 /CNW/ - Now there's no excuse to stay at home this
weekend. Imperial Oil has slashed the price of its regular unleaded gasoline
to 49.9 cents per litre until midnight on Sunday, May 4th in a bid to
encourage Torontonians to get out and support local businesses.
"The city has just been through a very tough time," said Brian Fischer,
senior vice president of Imperial Oil. "Now that things are starting to look
better, we wanted to do something to encourage people to relax, take in the
spring weather downtown, do some shopping, go to a restaurant or movie."
In addition to the price reduction, Imperial Oil will donate five cents
of every liter purchased during the campaign to support health care in
Toronto.
The Esso Celebrates Toronto weekend sale will be launched at the Esso
Station on the corner of Dupont Street and Davenport Road. Regular unleaded
gasoline will be lowered to 49.9 cents at 4:00 p.m. today at all sites between
Highway 427 to the west, the Don Valley Parkway to the east, Highway 401 to
the north and Lake Ontario to the south. It will remain at this level all
weekend until midnight on Sunday, May 4th.
"It's our way of giving something back to Toronto," continued Fischer.
"As the only national oil company with headquarters in Toronto, we're proud of
the city and its people. For more than 100 years, Torontonians have
contributed to Imperial's success by bringing us their business. Esso
Celebrates Toronto is about helping Toronto get back on its feet quickly. We
want everyone to come out this weekend and support the local economy. And when
they fill up at a Toronto-area Esso station, they'll be helping us recognize
the heroic response of our city's health care workers."
For a list of participating sites, customers should call Esso customer
service at 1-800-567-3776.

Note: In the spirit of the campaign and in the interest of safety, we
remind customers that the use of uncertified containers for the transportation
of fuel is prohibited.

vice-president of Imperial Oil, will be on-site at the Esso Station (corner
